CLUB NEWSLETTER

Happy New Year from Moorside Rangers!

We massively appreciate your unwavering support through the season.

  • Remember that children play for fun

  • Applaud effort and good play as well as success

  • Always respect the match officials decisions, even when you don’t agree with them

  • Remain outside the field of play and behind the respect barrier where provided

  • Encourage players to respect the opposition, referee and match officials

  • Avoid criticising a player for making a mistake.

  • Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour

We need your support.

There have been a number of incidents recently involving abusing referees and opponents. This needs to stop.

By and large the majority of our parents and guardians are positive and supporting, however we all bear a collective responsibility to set a good example and help provide a positive environment in which our children can learn and enjoy the game.

Please play your part and observe the FA Respects code of conduct at all times. Which includes:

Can you help us?

It would be great if we could form a parents group to help tackle this issue before it escalates, with parents taking a direct role in promoting a positive environment and reinforcing that respect is a shared responsibility.

If you are willing to help out with this, or indeed any other volunteer role within the club, then please reach out to our Child Welfare Officers or any of the club committee.

Ongoing Projects

As always we remain committed to enhancing our facilities.

The Pitch Improvement Plan in partnership with the Football Foundation is making progress, albeit slowly, but we are seeing more games going ahead at Beech Farm than ever before over the winter period.

We’ve also managed to secure funding for our own compact tractor which will enable us to continue this work on our pitches.

Our primary focus right now is to secure funding to repair the leaking roof on the club house.

We’re 3* accredited again!

A special thanks to our our volunteers, admin officers, coaches and sponsors (especially Clarity Occupational Health) for their vital contributions in maintaining our reputation as one of the best clubs in the region.

Being an FA 3* accredited club in Greater Manchester is an achievement we couldn’t have accomplished without your dedication and support.
